SEC clears Nasdaq Texas rule naming XRP and Solana as "digital commodities" alongside Bitcoin and Ether. Order 34-106268 (File No. SR-NasdaqTX-2026-039), dated 3 September, grants accelerated approval to amend Nasdaq Texas Rule 5711(d) governing Commodity-Based Trust Shares: it adds a formal digital-commodity definition, drops the passive-management requirement so actively managed crypto trusts can list, and lets a trust hold up to 15% of NAV in non-qualifying digital commodities or certain securities.
