RBI expands FX-Retail currency coverage on the Bharat Connect payment rail. Deputy Governor Rohit Jain soft-launched, via a Controlled User Group at the Global Fintech Fest in Mumbai, multicurrency service on Bharat Connect (operated by NPCI Bharat BillPay) integrated with the RBI-linked FX-Retail platform (operated by Clearcorp, a CCIL subsidiary), adding the euro, British pound, Canadian dollar, Swiss franc and UAE dirham alongside the existing US dollar service for retail forex purchase, remittance and forex-card reload. This is a platform/service expansion on RBI-linked retail FX infrastructure rather than a new circular or master direction; no formal notification has been published yet.
