India

SEBI

No new SEBI circulars or press releases this window. Media reports ahead of Thursday's board meeting (24 September) point to possible agenda items — a fast-track mechanism for settlement cases up to ₹10 lakh, a portfolio-management-services regulatory overhaul, and a common advertisement code across intermediaries — but none of this has been put out for consultation or decided yet. Business Standard

Exchanges (NSE/BSE)

No material NSE or BSE circulars this window beyond routine settlement-calendar and corporate-action notices.

RBI, IFSCA & other

No new FEMA/FPI, settlement or payment-system rule-making circulars from RBI this window.

IFSCA notifies Electronic Trading Platforms Regulations, 2026. The regulations create a dedicated registration and operating framework for electronic trading venues in GIFT City IFSC: eligible instruments are limited to securities, money-market instruments, FX and derivatives (crypto-assets and tokens are expressly excluded), operators must meet a minimum net-worth threshold and fit-and-proper standards for key personnel, and platforms must maintain governance, surveillance, risk-management, cyber-security and business-continuity controls. Signed 8 September and gazetted 10 September, the notification was posted by IFSCA on 18 September and takes effect from the date of Gazette publication. Regulations summary

A quiet window for Japan (JFSA, JPX/TSE, BoJ), Hong Kong (SFC, HKEX, HKMA), Singapore (MAS, SGX RegCo) and New Zealand (FMA, NZX, RBNZ) — no material new regulatory or market-structure announcements.

Australia — ASX: Amendments to the ASX Clear, ASX Settlement and Austraclear operating rules and procedures — the outcome of a five-year rulebook review and refresh — took effect Monday 21 September 2026, unchanged from ASX's response to consultation. Clearing and settlement participants must now notify ASX of their primary and secondary recovery contacts and of their business-continuity officer within 28 days of any change. ASX notice
