SEBI bars Omaxe and promoter-linked entities from the market over a 2013 minimum-public-shareholding scheme. An SEBI order found that Omaxe Ltd and group entities routed ₹46.5 crore through three shell companies (DVM Realtors, Garv Buildtech and Jeet Builders) to fund third-party purchases of Omaxe shares in two 2013 offers-for-sale, artificially inflating the independent public float used to meet the 25% MPS requirement — conduct SEBI characterised as a fraudulent scheme under the PFUTP Regulations. Omaxe is restrained from the securities market for three months and fined ₹27 lakh; promoters Rohtas, Sunil and Jai Bhagwan Goel and linked firms Dream Home Developers and Guild Builders are restrained for one year with penalties up to ₹37 lakh each, for a combined ₹1.92 crore.
