SEBI

SEBI amends REIT rules on common infrastructure and sponsor-exit protections. (12 October, carried late.) The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Real Estate Investment Trusts) (Second Amendment) Regulations, 2026 (SEBI/LAD-DOP/2026/328) remove the earlier restriction tying "common infrastructure" to composite projects, industrial parks or SEZs, widening what a REIT may jointly develop or share. They also require that where a sponsor exits, the outgoing sponsor group or a continuing sponsor must offer dissenting unitholders an option to sell their units on terms SEBI specifies, rather than leaving them without an exit route. The regulations take effect on publication in the Official Gazette. (Reported via tax/legal advisory coverage; the notification was not independently located on SEBI's own site, which renders as an empty shell for direct lookups.) Summary (taxguru.in)

No other new SEBI circulars, press releases or consultation papers this window.

Exchanges (NSE/BSE)

No material NSE or BSE circulars this window beyond routine listing housekeeping, IPO allotments, the regular ASM/ST-ASM/ESM surveillance list and Muhurat Trading (Diwali) session notices.

RBI, IFSCA & other

No new FEMA/FPI, settlement or payment-system rule-making from RBI this window — the day's RBI directions (amendments to Small Finance Banks' and Commercial Banks' prudential norms) are general bank capital-adequacy rules outside capital-markets scope. Nothing from IFSCA.
