Africa
Egypt's FRA short-selling framework (Resolution 155, issued 19 August) still has no confirmed trading-launch date. The framework sets broker eligibility at a minimum net shareholders' equity of EGP 5m (EGP 10m for firms combining margin trading with securities lending/borrowing) and a 15% average net liquid capital ratio over the trailing six months, plus a cash-collateral requirement of at least 50% of borrowed-securities market value.
