Australia
No material developments in this window. ASIC's news centre and newsroom feeds, ASX's announcements and Listed@ASX supervision pages, the RBA's media releases, Treasury's consultation hub, and TMX Australia Exchange (formerly Cboe Australia) were all checked and show nothing new since the items already noted in prior editions — ASIC's RG 265/RG 266/RG 241 consultation (CS 63, submissions close 5 Nov), its 30 September cyber-resilience supervisory letter, and the RBA's September assessment of the ASX clearing and settlement facilities. One item to watch rather than report: ASX's Listing Rule amendments narrowing Listing Rule 7.2 Exceptions 6 and 7 (shareholder approval for S&P/ASX 300 bidders issuing 25% or more of capital in a takeover or scheme) are due to commence 21 October, pending a confirming ASX Market Notice not yet issued.
New Zealand
No material developments in this window. NZX's upcoming rules-and-guidance page, the FMA's consultation and market-operator-notice pages, and the RBNZ's consultations site were checked and show nothing new. The NZX client-asset handling amendments to the Participant Rules take effect Monday, 12 October — approved by the FMA on 10 September and already noted in prior editions, with no new announcement attached to them today.
