Australia

No material developments in this window. ASIC's news centre, ASX's market notices and public consultations pages, the RBA's media releases, TMX Australia Exchange (formerly Cboe Australia) and Treasury's consultation listings were checked (direct fetch of asic.gov.au, asx.com.au and rba.gov.au is unreadable from here, so this was done via targeted dated search per the brief's fallback) and show nothing new since yesterday. The open items on watch are unchanged: ASX still has not issued the Market Notice formally confirming completion of the statutory process for the Listing Rule 7.2 Exceptions 6 and 7 amendments (shareholder approval for S&P/ASX 300 bidders issuing 25% or more of capital in a takeover or scheme) — the amended rules are due to take effect 21 October 2026, so the confirming notice is more likely to land nearer that date than this week; ASIC's CS 63 consultation on updated RG 265/RG 266 guidance and withdrawal of RG 241 remains open, with submissions closing 5 November; and the RBA's September Financial Stability Standards assessment of the ASX clearing and settlement facilities remains its most recent output on ASX, with no follow-up release since.

New Zealand

No material developments in this window. NZX's upcoming rules-and-guidance page, the FMA's consultation and market-operator-notice pages, and the RBNZ's consultations site were checked and show nothing new since yesterday. The NZX Participant Rules amendments on client-asset handling that took effect Monday, 12 October, have no reported implementation issues or follow-up notices so far.
