Checked individually: ASIC's news centre and media-release listings (nothing new found), ASIC's consultation on updated RG 265/RG 266 guidance and withdrawal of RG 241 (submissions close 5 November, unchanged), the RBA media-release index (the September 2026 Financial Stability Standards assessment of ASX remains the most recent FMI item), ASX market notices, Cboe Australia compliance notices (none since April 2026), and Treasury's markets-related consultation list.
Still pending, now five days from its proposed effective date: no ASX Market Notice confirming the statutory process is complete for the Listing Rule 7.2 Exceptions 6 and 7 amendments (capping scrip issued by an S&P/ASX 300 bidder in a takeover or scheme at 25% of capital on issue, absent higher shareholder-approved or constitutional limits) has been located, despite a targeted search. Secondary commentary continues to describe this as an exposure draft, with industry submissions (Law Council of Australia, Ownership Matters, dated mid-September) asking ASX to confirm the new regime will not apply to deals announced before the proposed 21 October 2026 commencement. With that date now five days away and no primary ASX notice found finalising the rule or its transitional treatment, this remains worth a close check in the next edition or two.

Checked individually: the FMA's custody-of-client-assets review (submissions closed 27 July 2026; no outcome or next-stage publication found yet), the NZX rules-and-guidance pages (the client-asset Participant Rules changes effective 12 October remain the most recent item), and the RBNZ consultations page (no new financial-market-infrastructure or prudential-standards consultation found; its deposit-taker-standards consultation remains outside this desk's FMI/markets scope).
