SEBI

No new SEBI circulars, press releases or consultation papers in the last 24 hours. Two further amendment regulations from SEBI's mid-October batch, missed in recent editions while the SEBI RSS feed was blocked without a browser user-agent, are carried below.

SEBI mirrors the REIT sponsor-exit and voting changes onto InvITs. (12 October, carried late.) The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Infrastructure Investment Trusts) (Second Amendment) Regulations, 2026 (SEBI/LAD-DOP/2026/327) amend Regulations 14 and 22 of the InvIT Regulations, 2014, companion to the REIT amendment already reported. A new Regulation 22(7)(b)(iv) requires that where an InvIT has multiple sponsors and one exits, the outgoing sponsor group or a continuing sponsor must offer dissenting unitholders an exit on SEBI-specified terms. The amendment also permits depository receipts on InvIT units and replaces the 75%-by-value unitholder approval test with a votes-cast basis (excluding related parties) under new Regulation 22(6A). Effective on Gazette publication (14 October). Regulation

SEBI widens accredited-investor eligibility for AIFs. (9 October, carried late.) The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Alternative Investment Funds) (Third Amendment) Regulations, 2026 lets an individual qualify as an accredited investor via securities-market exposure of at least ₹5 crore (rather than net worth alone), and sets LLP/body-corporate thresholds at ₹50 crore net worth or ₹20 crore securities-market exposure, in the manner SEBI specifies. Effective on Gazette publication. (Reported via secondary tax/legal coverage; not independently verified against the Gazette text, and SEBI's own notification page renders as an empty shell for direct lookups.) Regulation

SEBI also notified the Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements (Third Amendment) Regulations, 2026 on 15 October; the operative changes could not be confirmed from SEBI's own page (an empty JavaScript shell) or from secondary trackers in time for this edition — flagged for follow-up.
