EU & ESMA
ESMA sets 2026 European Common Enforcement Priorities for listed issuers. ESMA named the focus areas national regulators and auditors will apply when reviewing 2026 annual financial reports: geopolitical risks/uncertainties and restructuring provisions under IFRS, materiality assessment and connected information under the sustainability reporting standards (ESRS), and common ESEF tagging errors in the statement of changes in equity. It also published the 31st extract of enforcement decisions from its FRWG/EECS database (seven decisions, two on the Alternative Performance Measures guidelines). ESMA statement
Checked and quiet: ESMA's general news page and press releases for 13–15 October (no other new items); the T+1 allocation-and-confirmation guidelines final report, which ESMA's own timeline flagged "by October," is still not out; the ESMA-direct-supervision package remains where it was on 9 Oct (Council negotiating position reached, European Parliament position still pending ahead of trilogues) — no October movement found. EuroCTP: no update since mid-September go-live.
United Kingdom
Checked and quiet. CP26/30 (equity market transparency) and CP26/31 (consolidated tape) both remain open, with the main response window closing tomorrow, 16 October — no close or outcome yet. The October PRA Regulatory Digest is not yet out; Bank of England digests post on the 1st of the following month (September's posted 1 October), so the next one is not expected until early November. FCA news and publications pages checked for 13–15 October: nothing new found.
National & exchanges
Checked and quiet: BaFin, Deutsche Börse/Xetra, AMF, Euronext (Paris/Amsterdam/Brussels/Milan), Consob/Borsa Italiana, CNMV/BME, AFM, SIX/SER-AG and Nasdaq Nordic — no new rule, circular or consultation dated 13–15 October found for any of them. CNMV's automatic-delisting-threshold draft circular remains open for comment, deadline unchanged at 19 October. No rule changes found from SNB, Riksbank, Norges Bank or Danmarks Nationalbank in the window.
